embodied presence: on and off the table

Inviting greater ease, presence, and possibility

the joyful living mission

To help people return to themselves through restorative presence, embodied participation, and playful deepening—supporting real healing, authentic connection, and a more grounded, alive way of moving through the world.

my philosophy

My sessions don’t just prepare the body — they open a doorway to real presence, where sensations can be noticed with clarity rather than analyzed or resisted.

By weaving laughter and curiosity into the work, even moments of discomfort become opportunities for discovery and enjoyment. Clients often find that this playful, embodied method not only enhances their session but also teaches them a new way of relating to stress and tension in daily life. It’s a practice of coming home to the body — with lightness, breath, and a sense of ease.

My philosophy around bodywork, massage, and coaching is rooted in the belief that when we keep the mind light and support the body in releasing tension, we create space to drop beneath habitual holding and access deeper reserves of health, joy, play, and possibility. This work is not only about relieving physical discomfort, but about reconnecting with a felt sense of ease and aliveness that can ripple through every aspect of life.

While the table is where the work begins, the intention is always to carry its effects beyond the session—into daily rhythms, relationships, family life, and the wider world. By cultivating greater awareness, presence, and embodied ease, this work supports not just individual well-being, but a more grounded and connected way of living personally, familially, and collectively.

my journey

My path into massage began early, shaped by growing up with an older father who, while working full time and commuting from Westchester to New York City, relied on weekly massage well into his 60s and 70s. I experienced massage myself as a child and saw firsthand how it supported recovery, resilience, and vitality over time. That early exposure planted a seed, though it wasn’t until many years later that I recognized massage as both a viable career and a true calling.

My love of touch and kinesthetic awareness was deepened through sports, yoga, and healing arts studies at the Omega Institute, as well as time spent in yoga communities in India and Costa Rica and explorations of Ayurvedic healing. After first discovering massage at a recreation center in Boulder, Colorado, I eventually completed my licensure training in Ithaca, New York, where my path fully clarified. What continues to inspire me is understanding how intentional, non-sexual touch can be profoundly healing and connective—supporting people in feeling more embodied, grounded, and at ease. As someone with ADHD, I have also experienced massage as a powerful way to help bring a scattered mind back into a more ordered, relaxed, and present way of being, a benefit I’m honored to support in my clients as well.
